UK holidays and also holidays to Europe are all going ahead as scheduled

Kind regards

Please always try to book your flight through a website or agent who are ABTA and ATOL members and pay with a credit card..Book a flight with a COVID guarantee who will refund you if the holiday does not go ahead. (such as Easyjet)
Click here for information on travel to EU countries
Always make certain that you have insurance cover as soon as you book your holiday or flight. If you do not have an annual travel insurance policy you can take out cover just for the dates of your holiday at any point prior to the holiday taking place. The Post Office Travel Insurance includes cover fro Covid.
Taking out cover straight away ensures that should anything unexpected happen that is covered by the insurance policy you can make a claim . Travel insurance policies vary enormously ALWAYS read the small print
Passport You will now need at least three months validity left on your passport when travelling to an EU country and probably 6 months for further afield. Be especially careful if you renewed your passport early last time you renewed as this does not include the extra time on your passport between the actual renewal date and the date it was due for renewal. Follow this link, click on the country you are travelling to and then click on Entry Requirements http://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice
The European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) which gave free, or reduced rate, healthcare when visiting the EU has been replaced with the UK Global Healthcare Insurance Card (GHIC).
This is free of charge, visit nhs.uk.ghic to obtain yours. You can continue to use your old EHIC until it expires. Neither of these cards covers Liechtenstein, Iceland, Norway and Switzerland. Do not forget to take out additional travel insurance as these cards do not cover all costs should you become sick or injured when in an EU country.
Remember that the GHIC is not an alternative to travel insurance. It will not cover any private medical healthcare or costs, such being flown back to the UK, or lost or stolen property.

Airlines don't have to pay out for delays caused by snow because weather is classified as an "extraordinary circumstance" – though some airlines may issue a refund at their discretion. For those of you flying to India you are almost certainly on a non EU airline so contact them direct to see exactly what you are entitled to.
According to Which magazine you can challenge your airline if you don't agree there were extraordinary circumstances – for example, if you are told you can't fly due to the snow, but other flights are departing. "Airlines may stretch the definition of extraordinary circumstances further than they should."
Which Magazine states:-
If the delay is not caused by extraordinary circumstances you will be entitled to compensation under EU rules, but only if you are flying with an airline based in the EU or with a non-EU-based airline flying from an EU airport, and only if the delay is for two hours or more. If you are flying somewhere else or with a non-EU-based airline not flying from the EU you'll have to check that carrier's terms and conditions.
If you are delayed for two hours or more you are entitled to: two free phone calls, faxes or e-mails; free food and drinks; and free hotel accommodation if you need to stay overnight.
If your flight arrives at its destination three hours or more late you will receive compensation of between €250 and €600, depending on how far your flight takes you. So you'll get €250 if your three hour-delayed flight travels 1,500km or less (ie, London to Amsterdam), but €600 if your plane is delayed by four hours or more and travels at least 3,500km (ie, London to Sydney).
If your flight is cancelled you should be offered either a refund or an alternative flight to your original destination.
For compensation you will have to look to the EU rules again, though if the delay is caused by snow – and thus an extraordinary circumstance – you might not get anything. If you are covered by EU regulations you will be entitled to travel assistance (such as help with rebooking for a later date) as well as meals and accommodation etc. Check the official EU website for more on your rights.

Hi Jilly and Debbie, Have just returned from a really fantastic retreat in Dalyan with Alex Reed so I thought I’d do u a review.
The hotel was really lovely, the staff were really attentive, from reception staff, bar staff and restaurant staff, we were greeted with friendly smiles and nothing was any trouble.. My room was spotless with a massive power shower, and lovely mini bottles of toiletries and even a pair of slippers available should I wish to use, plus a fridge (useful for storing bottles of water etc).
The yoga was amazing. Alex is a really good and friendly instructor and we gradually built up during the week, and used Patanjalis yoga sutras as a focus throughout the week. Alex offered lots of alternatives for postures for her students to try throughout the week and provided “food for thought” for her students to consider as well as encouraging her students to “play and experiment” with different postures.
During the week we crossed the lake and visited some ruins near the tombs and done a beautiful yoga session there and also in the gardens of the hotel a couple of times, which was lovely, and I particularly enjoyed a partner and group workshop at the end.

Just back from a week at your retreat in Turkey.
A fabulous hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Great leisure facilities and accommodation. I traveled with 2 other ladies and we had never been to classes by Alex Reade. She was wonderful. Thoughtful and well planned lessons, very inclusive, encouraging and kind. One evening we took a boat across the river and did a class in the ruins of a city which was very special and bonding.
I am so grateful we chose this yoga break so thank you.

Jilly & Debbie, hope you’re both well.
Just a quick note to say how much we enjoyed the Dalyan Retreat with Geny Caliosi. Indeed we would love to repeat it.
1. Geny was brilliant. Her Yoga was clearly well planned, well constructed and well delivered, and followed a seamless and logically connected series of themes throughout the week, flexed to meet the individual and collective needs of the group and the occasion.
She’s clearly an excellent Yoga practioner but over and above her obvious Yoga skills she’s simply a great teacher. Her ‘Indian’ training and Yoga travels over many years shines through and shows itself clearly in her deep and enthusiastic knowledge of Yoga, Auyveda and related subjects. Not only is she knowledgeable and skilled in such matters but she’s equally keen to share it and pass it on to learners of all abilities in a truly meaningful way. A great all round teacher and an asset to her students and wider the Yoga community (and Freespirit!).
It’s also worth adding that Geny was a good ‘holiday’ companion and went the extra mile to share time with the group and organise and join-in with many of the excursions etc we collectively undertook.
Well done Freespirit and very well done Geny. We will be back for more!
2. The venue (Dalyan Live Spa Hotel), and its facilities were all good and delivered all that we expected, both as a holiday resort and Yoga Retreat. The hotel has great views and easy access to everything in and outside the town. Our accommodation was well laid out, well maintained and kept very clean throughout our fortnight stay. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating, and good company. The food was excellent. A great venue and excellent choice.
Please feel free to use this review as you wish.
All the best. We shall be in touch re other Retreats!
Namaste

Hi Debbie, I've just returned from a Free Spirit holiday at the Dalyan Live in Turkey. The hotel and staff were wonderful and have made a first solo trip for me a fab experience. The hotel is clean and the standard of rooms immaculate with great facilities. I was slightly doubtful about having vegetarian dinners however they were lovely. Thank you for a great venue and I look forward to making my next booking.
Kind regards Lisa - May 2022 - Teacher Kathryn Banks
The place is lovely. The Spa is awesome! I think the ladies will love it. I swam, steamed + sauna-ed yesterday. And, they have a Hammam on site here offering group packages of Hammam scrub, massage + face mask (about 80 mins) for £40. We are 10 mins walk from the town which is great. Pool is lovely. Room for teaching is a good size and has speakers all around so, perfect for us with dance. Rooms are nice - mine looks out onto fields. You will love it when you come to visit.
Lots of love, Mel - May 2022
