Susan began her Teacher Training in 2016 with Sasha Perryman at The Cambridge Iyengar Institute.
She certified as an Iyengar yoga Level 1 teacher in 2020. In August 2024 she completed 200 hours of teacher training with Yoga Alliance. She continues to learn through her students and mentors exploring the many deeper layers of yoga creating a compassionate, friendly, fun path to holistic health.
She has a love of yoga and travel and has experienced many yoga retreats/training and is now ready to share yoga on retreats in a way that is anchored in kindness, humour and a deep sense of welcome. Her aim is to create an environment where you can let go ofyour expectations and find inner stillness that can be reached through mind, body and breath so that you feel safe to try a new challenge.
Susan's mission is to make yoga feel less intimidating and more accessible to everyone so that you can slow down, still the mind and enjoy the journey. Poses will be demonstrated and explained so that you can practice in a way that is safe for you, taking into account variable anatomy and whatever suits your energy levels that day. Her teaching encourages home practice with tools on how the practice will support you in all stages of your life.
Morning classes will be varied, opening the body and attuning the mind to the breath. The combination of detailed instruction and a light-hearted approach makes the class both effective and enjoyable, leaving participants feeling refreshed, aligned, and inspired.
Evening classes will be a shorter restorative class to help you unwind, relax and connect to a deep sense of inner peace.
Each session is structured in a way to suit all levels of ability and will take you further according to your own ability and understanding of the practice. You will go home energised and revived, refreshed and relaxed with wonderful memories and new friendships.
"I am thankful for the enrichment yoga has brought to my life and enjoy sharing this wonderful 'Path to Holistic Health' with students of any age and ability."
